When looking at the Google trends chart for Ramen you can clearly see an uptrend.  Something very interesting to note about the data is the fact that Belgium and Singapore search this term much more than the United States.  There is a strong possibility that this term is search for different reasons in those countries because looking at the search term “Ramen Noodles” shows that the United States and Canada create most of these searches.

Louisville, Kentucky and Columbus, Ohio are the two cities that search “ramen noodles” this most and this is not a surprise at all as two major universities make up a significant amount of the population in those towns – The University of Louisville and the Ohio State University.  We will continue to do research on food trends in the near future so make sure to check back in with What America is Searching.
