WalMart Searches Rise – A Good Holiday Season?

Not too long ago we wrote about Walgreens seeing a decline in their searches over the holiday season.  The opposite is true for the retail giant Walmart.  The Google Trends chart for WalMart shows that there was a drastic increase in the number of searches for this term.  From Black Friday through Christmas the king of retail sees a huge increase in the amount of searches for their company.  This year was no different and Black Friday produced an all time high when it comes to Google searches for “Walmart.”

The amount of searches for a company will not forecast financial results but it will clearly depict the interest of the American public.  It is obviously the case that the American public was enamoured with the sales that WalMart had this holiday season.  The financail numbers that are produced could show a good holiday season for this retailer.
