Tonight, The Los Angeles Lakers played an almost flawless game as they push the Boston Celtics to a game 7 at the Staples Center on Thursday night. With game 6 being an 11 nation game many analysts and sports fans felt that the Los Angeles Lakers would come out with great energy which is exactly what happened.
Throughout much of the first half the Los Angeles Lakers were up double figures which caused the Boston Celtics to get out of their game. Early in the second half the Boston Celtics showed great energy but they missed several lay ups which could have cut the lead drastically.
Unfortunately, while missing these lay ups the Los Angeles Lakers hit some big shots and ended going up by more than 25 points at one point. As the game progressed it was very evident that the Boston Celtics were not going to win and there will be a game 7 in Los Angeles on Thursday night.
Kobe Bryant and the Lakers played very well in game 6 but it will now be the case that they need to repeat the performance in order to win the 2010 NBA championship. Both of these teams have a great amount of experience so a game 7 in the NBA finals should not cause them to be nervous.
With both of these organizations looking to hang another championship banner look for both teams to come out playing very energized. The team that gets the early lead may end up winning the 2010 NBA finals as the first quarter as ultimately decided almost every single game in the series.
A game 7 in any sporting event series is always exciting to watch. With Thursday night being the final game of this NBA season and will come as no surprise to see huge ratings for the Boston Celtics versus the Los Angeles Lakers.
