Unemployment Benefits Extension Passed Through November 2010 – Enabling of America by Obama?

July 26, 2010

The unemployment benefits extension was passed through November 2010 and many of those who have a job and have continued to work very hard are asking the question, “Is Obama continuing to enable America?”  While many would argue there are just not enough jobs out there there are others that argue that sometimes it takes applying for a job that is not “ideal” and do not necessarily pay as much as a previous job.

Unfortunately, there are many Americans who continue to use and abuse the unemployment benefits extension.  There are definitely many Americans who need this benefit and have worked hard to get a job but isn’t 99 weeks long enough to find employment in a Capitalist economy?  We would like to ask you, “Is Obama enabling America?”  Should there be more unemployment benefits extensions?

It will be very interesting to see what happens in November as many Republicans are ahead in the polls right now. Could there be a changing of the guard when it comes to Washington?

Are you kidding me??? There are no jobs!!! God help us if our own country will not. People are starving and committing suicide and how dare anyone say it’s because they are lazy! Think about that, people!!! If people do not get the help they need before the recess…. our government will have blood on their hands. That is a fact!!!! Pass a Tier V amendment now!!! Save lives!!! The bring this country the job we need!!!!!

Yes, that seems to be the case, desperate times call for desperate measures and we may start to see that in the second half of 2010. No one knows if another unemployment bill will be passed for 99ers but what we do know is that the number of 99ers continues to increase.

We, too, are so grateful help is finally coming again…There are so many who genuinely need help….who have worked hard/have families and circumstances became dire….Our country needs to help us now….we, who have been loyal American citizens…Sure, there are abuses….always…but so many of us are truly hurting….I don’t mind the label, 99′ers….as another said, it’s reality….however, we come under fire from others and the media/talk show hosts stereotyping us as “couch
potatos”…”slackers”….”lazy”…..that is so untrue, unfair and unkind …those who judge us so, should walk in our shoes…their shallow, pompous thinking demonstrates how limited their scope of understanding, intelligence and compassion is….I’m sure there are many like us; we’ve worked since our teens…our son got a job while going to high school to support his car and worked through college….attained a Master’s degree……my husband and son served in the military….So, John & Ken…Rush Limbaugh I will never listen to your shows again. I applaud Nancy Pelosi who was one of the first to speak out for us and showed compassion….and our President….God bless them!

There are over 10 Million people UNemployed!
It will take years to put these people back
to work. The solution is not put 10 Million
people on the street. Create Jobs! Not wars.
Trillion dollar bailouts for big corp. and not
One Cent for people loosing thier homes. Thats
bush’s fault? Tax buisness’s” so we will never be
able to put this once great nation back to work.?
Bush’s fault again right? Cut the employment benefits
you will distroy america. The once graet nation soon
to be a third world nation. Ya pull the plug on unemployment
benefits. Remeber solent green? Bring out the scoops! It’s over….
