I hate working, but I love to play on the beach all day, I love to ride my bike, and take long showers at the gym (lifetime membership). I sleep outside, and am very comfortable. I am given $500 dollars a month in GR and Food-stamps combined. I spend most of all that on food, because I love to pig out. The Churches hand out free food (great food (hot food)), free clothes (great clothes (normal clothes)), So honestly I do not even need the food-stamps. I am a 99'er, and I am hoping to get tier 5 because it is free money. I am also free, and I live like a king, and have no responsibilities whatsoever. Thank you Julie for paying your taxes. I will continue to live my awesome free and incredibly fun life while you go to work everyday, thinking of ways to make other people wrong so you feel more right about yourself. Working is not a bad thing. For me it would just be a silly thing to do. I am 29 years old cannot see myself working ever again in my life, when everything I need is free for the taking. Sure I sleep outside, but I sleep just as well as I do in a bed.

Regarding showing up to an employer in person, many employers say no phone calls regarding the position. Also to the person who said people should move, the housing market is very poor, so it can be very difficult to sell your home. Also why do people on welfare get to stay on welfare longer then 99 months? Most job openings now are part-time with no benefits. Be glad if your working now and have a job, its terrible to be out of work now.

You don't make any sense. The problem isn't jobs are located somewhere else, it's that there are FIVE TIMES AS MANY JOBSEEKERS AS THERE ARE JOBS available. Until you have walked in our shoes, you don't know what you are even talking about.

I realize all of you may have few opportunities where you live but there are places that are hiring elsewhere. It is not always easy to pick up and move but sometimes that is what it takes to survive and prosper in life. If you have children and circumstances to make it difficult that is understandable but sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures.

julie has no idea how it really is out here. You say you see now hiring signs everywere. I dont know where your from but around here
the newspaper jobs adds go from a-z in 2 rows, not even a half page. Alomost every job I've applied for has had a long line just to fill out an app. Then when you try to call for a follow up theres a recording saying due to overwhelming response we are no longer accepting phone calls. She calls us lazy, says we "soak it up" Ya were soaking up less than half of what we were makeing when we worked. Is selling everything you own that has a value ABOVE AND BEYOND enough for you Julie?

Julie Young: You have got to be living under a HUGE rock. I personally am tired of people telling the unemployed how well they have it by collecting between 300 and 400 per week. I have gone back to school, but I still look everyday for a job just in case one is available. I would put off my last year of school if I could find something that would pay the bills and my new 27,000 college loan. Times have changed Julie. I can't believe that people still think that someone is living the life on 15,000 to 20,000 a year. My last job, I was a district manager with 56 employees. We lost our contract due to downsizing. My 405 per week was a far cry from what I made. IM lucky that my wife has not lost her job of 34 years. Its attitudes like yours that is keeping the people who need help from getting it. I hope for your sake you don't lose your job because what comes around goes around.
