A very hot topic tomorrow, Sunday, August 1st, 2010 will be Americans looking to file unemployment claims. There will likely be a large number of searches to file Ohio unemployment claims for online August 1, 2010. There are millions of Americans that will be able to claim unemployment insurance but there will also be many 99ers who have exhausted their resources. For those who have receive 99 weeks of unemployment benefits it will be the case that they are not able to receive a check from the government.
To take 99 weeks to find a job is a very big issue. There are definitely depressed areas of the country but if an individual wants to work badly enough they can find a job in TWO years. Unfortunately, many of these individuals know that they will continue to receive a government check so they have no reason to accept a job that they do not truly desire. Many unemployed individuals are holding out for higher pay as it’s “not worth it” to work for less than their check.
My opinion on unemployment and the extension of unemployment insurance
