A very popular matchup at UFC 118 is Nate Diaz vs Marcus Davis.  These fighters are each coming off some recent losses and are looking to get back on track so they can make a run at the title.  Nate Diaz recently lost to Gray Maynard and Marcus Davis lost to Dan Hardy and Ben Saunders back to back before getting a win against Jonathan Goulet.  Whether you like Nate Diaz or not it is the case that Dana White feels that Diaz has what it takes in the Octagon as he continues to get fights.  Many MMA fans do not like Nate Diaz or his brother Nick as they seem to be a little bit too confident for their abilities.

There is little argument to be made that Diaz has fought some of the best fighters in MMA but he has yet to get the big win that would propel him to the top for a chance at the title.  It will be interesting to see how he comes out against Marcus Davis at UFC 118.
