In a very important early-season matchup Illinois will take on Missouri in the State Farm Arch Rivalry in St. Louis Missouri. Each of these teams have had very good seasons in the past five years but it seems to be the case that 2010 could be a struggle. With each team having a huge fan base look for many people to search for Illinois vs Missouri TV schedule. Luckily, this week one game will be on FSN beginning at 1230. Many people also want predictions and picks for this game pitting the Illini vs the Tigers.
Ron Zook has had his ups and downs at the University of Illinois as he took this program to the Rose Bowl several years ago but has had many struggles over the last several years. There have been many expectations that have gone unmet at the University of Illinois and many feel as if this will be Ron Zook’s final season. With this being the case he needs to get off to a very good start but facing Missouri and a rivalry in week one could spell many problems for the 2010 Illinois team.
Missouri has also had its ups and downs over the last several years. With Chase Daniel at quarterback the Tigers got as high as number three in the country and had an opportunity to play for the national championship but were defeated by Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship game. It seems to be the case in Missouri plays very well against teams they are expected to be but they do not show up in the huge games. It will be the case in Missouri is expected to be an Illinois in the first game of the season so look for them to play very well.
In the past it was very easy to take Ron Zook and the Illinois Fighting Illini in a game that they were double-digit underdogs but that has recently changed as Illinois has been blown out several times in the last few years. It will be very interesting to see how this Ron Zook team comes out as he has replaced many assistant coaches and the last person to go will end up being himself if the team cannot have an awakening in 2010. With the big 10 being extremely talented this year it will be interesting to see if Illinois can get above .500 and achieve a winning record.
Missouri is in a very watered down Big 12 North division that has Nebraska as the heavy favorite. Some feel that Missouri could challenge Nebraska throughout the year but very few think that Missouri will be able to beat them head-to-head. The prediction is that Nebraska will take on either Oklahoma or Texas in the Big 12 championship game. If Nebraska does not come out of the Big 12 North than Missouri has a very good chance. The Missouri Tigers 2010 schedule is as follows
