What America is Searching

“I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life’s realities.” - Dr. Seuss

Here is a little bit of extra information about the Super Bowl on the Radio from Wikipedia:

As previously mentioned, Super Bowl I was aired by both CBS and NBC (the only Super Bowl to be aired by two networks), but neither network felt the need to preserve the game long-term; CBS saved the telecast for a few months and reran it as filler programming at least once before wiping it. Super Bowl II was aired exclusively by CBS and is also believed to have been erased. Though the telecast of Super Bowl III exists in full color, only half of the Super Bowl IV broadcast does (the rest was preserved by Canadian television in black-and-white), and the status of most of Super Bowl V remains unknown. It was not until Super Bowl VI that a continuous archive was established. The National Football League had its own filmmakers, NFL Films, filming the game with its own equipment, and preserving its own telecast on tape was not seen as a priority when another source was available though the commentating from the networks, as a result, were lost.
The highest-rated game according to Nielsen was Super Bowl XVI in 1982, which was watched in 49.1 percent of households (73 share), or 40,020,000 households at the time. Ratings for that game, a San Francisco victory over Cincinnati, may have been aided by a large blizzard which had affected much of the northeastern United States on game day, leaving residents to stay at home more than usual. Also, because network television was still the predominant means of viewership and pay television services (cable, and later satellite) were still relatively unavailable, there were not many choices of things to watch on television. Super Bowl XVI still ranks fourth on Nielsen’s list of top-rated programs of all time, and three other Super Bowls, XII, XVII, and XX, made the top ten.[15] 2010′s Super Bowl XLIV holds the record for total number of U.S. viewers, attracting an average audience of 106.5 million viewers.
Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000 was the first major sports championship event to be broadcast in high-definition; furthermore the entire ABC Sunday night lineup that night was first entire lineup to be broadcast in high-definition.
